About SOLID
Founded by Jamie Carle—also known as Portland Tooth Fairy—the brand focuses on solid gold pieces that feel intentional, wearable, and personal, rather than flashy for the sake of it. Every grill is made to fit real mouths and real lives, not just trends.
When building from the impact and reputation that Portland Tooth Fairy has had in the tooth gem world, Jamie wanted to maintain those ethics and standards through other forms of jewelry.
That's why at Solid Grillz, we don’t believe luxury should come at the expense of people or the planet. We do not use unethical or conflict diamonds in our work. Instead, we intentionally default to moissanite—a brilliant, durable, and ethical alternative that delivers the same high-end shine without the harm tied to traditional diamond sourcing. Moissanite is unmined, uses fair labor practices, and allows us to stay sparkly while not compromising our values.
We are able to keep pricing more accessible for our consumers, but more importantly, materials more aligned with our souls.
We intentionally do not offer .925 silver as a material option. Pure gold does not tarnish or oxidize. Silver does — especially with moisture exposure. We are able to cut back on nickel and copper allergies, gum irritation, and oxidation by using solid gold.
Beyond our materials, Solid Grillz is built on community over corporations. We actively support independent jewelers, local setters, and small businesses, keeping our production rooted in skilled craftsmanship rather than mass manufacturing. Every piece helps circulate money back into the creative economy and sustain the artists who keep this culture alive.
When you order from Solid Grillz, you’re not just buying custom jewelry—you’re supporting ethical sourcing, real artisans, and a small business that puts intention behind every detail.
As the resurgence of grillz grows, the AI generated photos, overseas production, and low quality control are slowly becoming the norm. We challenge that. Our grillz are currently handmade in LA and Houston.
